I often get asked how I ended up becoming a pediatric dentist. Well, the truth is, it was always my first career choice, as you can see from my childhood picture. Growing up with a father who is a pediatric dentist, I chose my future career at the age of three. In kindergarten, my teacher asked the class what we wanted to be when we grew up. Confidently, I stood up and told the class I wanted to be a pediatric dentist like my dad. I know everyone has an opinion of the “perfect” career. But for me, this was it. Following in my father's footsteps, I became a pediatric dentist and even worked side-by-side with my father for five years after completing my education.
