Compass Insurance & Financial Group was founded in 2010 by Chad Brown, who had spent several years in the captive (one company) insurance & financial services business. Chad worked for two captive agents in the area (primarily in the financial services arena) before starting his own captive agency, which he sold three years later in order to go independent and found Compass.
